Role – Membership Support: 
– Provide support in organizing member events, workshops, and networking sessions. 
– Respond to member inquiries and facilitate communication between members and the chamber. 
Event Coordination: 
– Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute chamber events. 
– Assist in logistics, including venue coordination, catering, and participant registration. 
– Contribute creative ideas for enhancing event experiences. 
 Communication and Outreach: 
– Support the creation of newsletters, press releases, and other communication materials. 
– Assist in social media management to promote chamber initiatives and engage with the community.  

About Employer – The Chamber’s focus areas include workforce, economic, and leadership development within the areas of job fairs, networking events, and many other events and resources to benefit the community. 

Internship Location: Hybrid

Role – Intern will assist staff with scheduling appointments, making appropriate referrals, research and document preparation under the supervision of staff. 

About Employer – The YMCA’s focus areas incorporates community outreach, legal aid services, event/fundraising planning, daycare, recreational sports, and after school programming. The intern will support the legal aid department and their efforts. 

Internship Location: In Person

Role – This includes supervising and planning activities such as sports, recreation, education, art, homework help, and more. The Youth Development Specialist will also embody a positive role model for the club members. Applicants must manage behavior effectively, provide strong leadership, and maintain a positive environment. Desired qualifications include but are not limited to two years of college in a related field or equivalent experience and a strong desire to motivate.

About Employer – The Boys and Girls Club provides a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters their doors. They would love an intern to support our summer program. 

Internship Location: In person

Role – We have two needs for intern work for summer 2024: plan and execute a two-week outdoor experience program for late summer; or plan and conduct a study on the impact of human use of Herngt ‘Aki’ Preserve, a 341-acre site managed by Redlands Conservancy. 

About Employer – Redlands Conservancy’s embodies public relations, outdoor education programming including hikes and workshops, and human impact studies for managed open space sites. 

Internship Location: Hybrid

Role – Work one-on-one and in group settings with kids. Participate in activities to engage children. Assist in creative ideas for educational activities Research and suggest appropriate instructional materials. Prepare materials and crafts for any upcoming BOOST sessions Able to pull or carry up to 20LBS Must have Reliable transportation due to commuting to 2 different Elementary Schools on two different consistent days. Example only: Tues/Thurs – Victoria Elementary, Monday ,Wednesdays ,Friday-Lugonia Elementary.

Role – Web Developer: Intern will give our website a complete reconstruction for better navigation, increase session lengths, develop SEO landing page strategy, and create a user friendly interface. 

About Employer – Foster Army’s goal is to create a safe haven for homeless pets, focusing on treatable companion animals from local shelters, providing loving foster homes, medical care, and behavioral support until they can be adopted into quality forever homes. 

Internship Location: In Person, Online, and/or Hybrid

Role – Street and Drop-in Center Outreach to youth in our community.

About Employer – YouthHope’s mission is to build confidence and promote self-sufficiency for homeless and underserved youth by providing trust, hope, support, and education. 

Internship Location: In Person

Role – Our interns would be classified as “Stem Instructors”. The intern(s) would assist with: 
1. Developing new projects related to coding 
2. Supporting the Curriculum Manager with the implementation of the content to the youth. (Attending virtual meetings to receive training and instruction) 
3. Support with setting up classes with our local community center 
4. Provide assistance with managing inventory (equipment, laptops, robots, etc.) 

About Employer – The C3 Initiative addresses the disparities in STEAM education within Black and Brown communities and schools by teaching coding and robotics through scenario-based learning. C3’s vision and success is developing pipelines for minority coders, makers, and designers to improve their programming skills. 

Internship Location: In Person, Online, and/or Hybrid

Role – Stakeholder Engagement Internship will support and report the Head of Stakeholder Engagement and will work to support the team in the following ways: 
– contribute to a weekly blog series during the duration of internship 
– attend weekly SE team meetings 
– attend assigned project meetings 
– map local and regional engagement opportunities to raise awareness and adoption of LeadersUp assets 
– complete departmental rotation meetings 
– in partnership with the Head of Stakeholder Engagement, design and execute one initiative that will be a value add beyond the duration of your internship  

About Employer – LeadersUp aims to change the narrative around the racial wealth gap by collaborating with companies and organizations to create equal opportunities for young diverse talent in America. 

Internship Location: Hybrid and/or Remote

Role – The BAGI intern will focus on our outreach efforts; aiding with our summer camp programming, our offsite and onsite events that are free and open to the public, as well as organizing and prepping for our outreach events. 

About Employer – BAGI educates the public about art glass by teaching a variety of glass-working classes, offering free public demonstrations, and bringing in international and locally renowned guest artists to continue expanding education and program offerings to artists and the general public. 

Internship Location: In Person

Role – Seek grant opportunities and develop draft grant proposals.

About Employer – Oregon Parks Forever is a statewide nonprofit that is a catalyst, partner and fundraiser for programs and projects that enhance the experience and increase opportunities for everyone to use Oregon’s parks and natural spaces.
