TYPE OF POSITION: Graduate Assistantship for the Master of Business Administration Program
SALARY: The position requires 14 hours per week, to be conducted in coordination with the MBA Program Coordinator. The compensation for this position is $8,500 for the academic year and 12 graduate credits of tuition waiver
DATE OF APPOINTMENT: Appointment is for the 2021 – 2022 academic year

LEARNING OPPORTUNITY/OBJECTIVE: The selected student will have the unique opportunity to understand how to create and implement a strategic marketing plan through hands-on experience of building the MBA program. Students will develop/improve their professional networking skills and learn how to benchmark and analyze competitor MBA programs to make strategic decisions about the future direction of the BSU MBA program.
- Assist in promotional efforts and growth of the MBA program through recruitment and retention efforts
- Assist in creating and updating the MBA Program’s digital and print media.
- Create engaging post through managing the MBA program’s social media pages on LinkedIn and Facebook
- Engage in prospecting activities with MBA coordinator to recruit business to contact about the program
- Manage specific projects related to the promotion of the MBA program,
- Update MBA student assessment data in Task Stream.
- Conduct research as assigned.
ü Must be admitted to the Master of Business Administration program at Bemidji State University
ü Position must have an academic component (teaching/scholarship)
ü Must maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.0
ü In order to drive on behalf of NTC/BSU, in an assigned college/university vehicle or a personal vehicle, the faculty/or staff member must possess a valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license.
ü The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
