The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is seeking a Community Cleanup Coordinator to join their team!
The Community Cleanup Coordinator will collaborate with the BPS Public Trash Team, contractors, community groups, and volunteers in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating community collection events and volunteer cleanup programs. This position will be responsible for working closely with community members, nonprofit groups, and other government agencies to plan successful community events to properly dispose of bulky waste and other hard to dispose of items. Additionally, the coordinator will support cleanup efforts by volunteer groups throughout the city, developing resources and connecting groups to those resources. The primary focus of this position will be assisting in the development and implementation of city cleanup programs including community collection events and support for volunteer cleanup efforts.
