POLICE RECORDS TECHNICIAN

The Police Records Technician for the City of Santa Cruz is an exciting and fast paced position. You will be working in the heart of the Police Department with frequent contact with team members of the Police Department and members of the public.
Successful candidates will have skills and abilities such as flexibility, multi-tasking, detail oriented, task prioritization, team player and effective communicator which are necessary to work effectively in this environment with multiple legal time deadlines, sudden emergencies, workplace distractions /interruptions, and extensive interaction with members of the public often with difficult personalities.
Under general supervision, Police Records Technicians perform responsible clerical work primarily involving police records and report preparation and maintenance, and other related clerical work as required.
Police Records Technicians work 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM and work a 4/10 schedule which can include weekends/holidays. Schedules may change, depending on departmental need.
