Inclusive Partners Capital, ValueAct Capital, Dodge & Cox Funds and Huck Capital have joined together to offer an 8-10 week summer internship located in San Francisco for enthusiastic candidates who are rising juniors and seniors enrolled in an undergraduate program. This is a paid internship focusing on investment management with a goal to promote more diversity within the finance industry.
As an intern, you will engage with experts in the field through project-based work. Throughout the summer, you will be a part of a small cohort of other interns at Inclusive Capital Partners, ValueAct Capital, Dodge & Cox Funds, and Huck Capital to build lasting, meaningful relationships. We will provide opportunities to network with senior leadership from all four firms. This is a comprehensive program designed to provide support, maximize your summer experience, expand your network, and build the foundation and pathway for your success in asset management.
Successful candidates are high academic achievers with an eagerness to expand upon your leadership potential. Your application should demonstrate your ambition, your curiosity, and strong interest in this field. We invite students that want to embrace opportunities and are eager to grow not only within the industry but to expand your leadership skills and professional experience.
We encourage first-generation college students and historically underrepresented groups in the finance industry in the U.S., particularly those who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and women to apply. Our four firms strive to be inclusive to celebrate diverse perspectives and close the gender, racial, and economic disparity gap in the finance industry.

Inclusive Partners Capital (“Inclusive”) manages the $1.4Billion Spring Fund, a value-driven social and environmental active investment fund. The Spring Fund was founded by Jeff Ubben and a team at ValueAct Capital in 2017. In August 2020, the Spring Fund moved to Inclusive. Inclusive invests in a portfolio of 10-15 public companies where we believe shareholder value will be created by working with managements and boards of companies that are best able to profitably solve the problems of people and planet. Our investment process begins with a rigorous analysis of a sector and a company’s externalities tied to specific Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) that Inclusive believes are material value drivers. Through deep analysis, beginning with company sustainability teams, we determine if there is the will, skill, scale and scope to solve the social or environmental problems that are reflective in a company’s low stock price. In a word, we invest in companies that we believe provide a good or service that solves an essential need, have a low share price and a management that is willing to be accountable on their performance toward company-specific metrics that we design to measure their financial, social and environmental impact. We call these “not-yet financial metrics” because we believe they will lead to out-sized returns for our investment partners. Very often, we join the board of directors of companies in which we invest and help them with their financial, sustainability and inclusivity agendas.
