WebMD TV has an exciting opportunity to share with the creative minds of Los Angeles. WebMD TV is a video network broadcasting to patient rooms, doctors’ offices, and hospital lobbies in over 1,500 health establishments across the country.
WebMD TV recently launched a competition with an invitation to contribute to the video network, connect with patients and their families, and compete for a chance to win cash prizes and have your work featured on WebMD TV. This is where you come in!
The “WebMD TV Storytellers” Competition is a competition of ideas and scripts. We are looking for your most innovative and creative ways of telling health & wellness stories – no matter if they are humorous, inspiring, anecdotal, or abstract. We encourage you to explore analogies, write comedic sketches or personal monologues, feature real people in your community, be inspired by social trends and pop culture, and most of all think of the best ways you’d understand the body and how we care for it. You may submit either a well-developed idea or a full written script by September 30. Winners of the Storytellers’ Competition will receive $5,000 for the best script and $1,000 for the best idea.
The “WebMD TV Creators” Competition is calling on you to lend your creative talents to bring topics of health and wellness to life. From dance to painting and poetry to song – if there is a health-related story that you can tell through talent, we want to see it! We’d like a fully produced video that leverages your art and talents to tell a story with any variety of health topics by October 22. First and second place winners of the Creators’ Competition will receive $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.
The “WebMD TV Student Teachers” is a competition for students, young kids, even toddlers, to create videos where they present or explain common health conditions, how things work in our bodies, ways to stay healthy, and any other health-related topics. We are looking for something exciting that everyone can understand and enjoy, as kids always bring a different perspective on things than us adults! We’d like to see videos featuring youth ages 18 and younger, but anyone can participate behind the scenes. First, second, and third place winners of the Student Teachers’ Competition will receive $5,000, $3,000, and $1,000 respectively; submissions are due by October 15.
