Investment sectors include, but are not limited to: education, financial inclusion, health, employment, and justice. Kapor Capital has more than 100 companies in its portfolio, including LendUp, Genius Plaza, Pigeonly, Health Sherpa, and Honor.We are looking for a Summer Digital Content Fellow, to leverage our social media and digital channels to digitally promote Kapor Capital. As the Digital Content Fellow, you will drive the execution of our goals to increase visibility, engagement and create a larger digital footprint in the tech, diversity, and social justice ecosystem. Candidates should have a strong interest in learning about the venture capital industry and a passion for start-up technology companies. This is a paid position reporting to the Senior Director of Portfolio Growth Marketing.Primary Responsibilities:Assist with the implementation of the overall digital strategy of the Kapor Capital social media channelsCreate and manage content across all social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)Create graphics and other web content for social media distributionMaintain monthly social media calendar and schedule posts to various platformsMonitor metrics and engagement across all social media and digital channelsUpdate content on Kapor Capital’s websiteProvide additional support for the Senior Director of Portfolio Growth Marketing as neededProvide support for various market and technology research projectsRequirementsStrong belief in Kapor Capital’s mission to use technology to close gaps of access and opportunity.Demonstrated commitment to closing gaps of access, opportunity, or outcomes for low-income communities of underrepresented ethnic and racial minorities.At least 2 years of full-time, post-undergraduate social media and graphic design experience, as well as a demonstrated track record of building organizational brands, ideally in the tech sector.Desire to pursue a career in venture capitalHigh level of confidentiality and strong work ethicFamiliarity with multiple social media platforms including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook and InstagramExperience with Photoshop or similar graphic design softwareExcellent writing skills–from 140 characters and beyondSome WordPress and HTML experienceStrongly PreferredDemonstrated success working with diverse teams (e.g. African-American, Latinx, Native American, and LGBTQ communities)Candidates with knowledge of the world of technology startups as a founder, early-stage employee, or another full-time role
