As an Adult Residential Counselor in the Adult Services program, you will plan and provide direct services to students or individuals, which includes developing and delivering instruction, supports, and positive role modeling in the areas of life skills, community utilization, healthcare, and social and recreational activities. You will provide support to individuals in their daily living skills, ensure that the house common areas are safe and clean, and prepare healthy meals.

Latham provides a paid two-week Orientation program for all new employees upon hire. A High School diploma or GED is required. While the ideal candidate for this position has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, recreation or a related field; or has equivalent experience, candidates with a high school diploma/ GED and are new to the human services field are encouraged to apply! Knowledge of DDS procedures and regulations and experience working with a special needs population preferred. Upon hire into this position, you will attain MAP certification for medication administration. He or she must have the ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position. $15.00 per hour.

27 hours: Wed, Thurs 3p-8p, Fri 2p-8p, Sat 8a-7p (Run Pond, S. Yarmouth)

30 hours: Thurs, Fri 2p-10p, Sat. 8a-10p (Railroad, Barnstable)

32 hours: Sat 9a – Sun 5p (Hazelmoor, S. Yarmouth)

28 hours: Sun 8a-7p, Mon 2p-8p, Tues 8:30a-7:30p (Run Pond, S. Yarmouth)

40 hours: Wed 2p -8p, Thurs 8a-7p, Fri 8a -8p, Sat 8a-7p (Turning Mill, Brewster)

31 hours: Sat 8a – Sun 3p (Railroad, Barnstable)

35 hours: Mon-Fri 8a-3p (Sandwich Rd., Plymouth)

30 hours: Sat 9a -Sun 3p (Peter Cooper, Wareham)

35 hours: Mon – Fri 8a -3p (Weir Road, Yarmouthport)

40 hours: Mon – Fri 2p-10p (Railroad, Barnstable)

21 hours: Tues, Wed, Sat 3p-10p (Peter Cooper, Wareham)

40 hours: Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri 10a-8p (Peter Cooper, Wareham)

38 hours: Thurs 8a-12p, Fri 8a-6p, Sat 8a – Sun 8a (Hazelmoor, S. Yarmouth)

36 hours: Sun 8a-8p, Mon -Wed 8a-4p (Hazelmoor, S. Yarmouth)
