POSITION:Summer Competency Recovery Teacher for Math

LOCATION: Nashua High School (North or South)

WORK YEAR: Summer Program

This is a one year position for the summer of 2021 only.

SALARY RANGE: $25 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be certified in Math or be Highly qualified and eligible to teach Math.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

A competency recovery teacher provides direct instruction to students in individual, small group, and/or full classroom settings using identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of district’s competency content standard in the particular subject area. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and literacy materials consistent with content standards and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
