Admissions Representative, Diversity and Community Outreach
The Admissions Representative, Diversity and Community Outreach will coordinate the Office of Undergraduate Admission’s diversity recruitment and outreach initiatives. This position will initiate, develop and maintain personal contact with qualified prospective students and related public constituencies in Nebraska and assigned out of state territories throughout the recruitment process. The Sr. Admissions Representative, Diversity and Community Outreach is the face and image of the University. This position will act as a member of a team responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies designed to attract and enroll a diverse population of qualified students. This position will maintain appropriate recruitment, admissions and advising data for students in their assigned territory – including new freshmen, transfer students, and returning/readmitted students. Manage assigned territory with annual recruitment goals in mind. This position is responsible for planning and implementing a diversity recruitment and outreach strategic plan aligned with the goals of the University. Will coordinate recruitment and outreach activities with campus partners, community agencies and schools with diverse populations. The recruiting strategies developed by the Sr. Admissions Representative, Diversity and Community Outreach will require an understanding of the University’s commitment to increasing the number of high ability students and under-represented populations on the UNO campus. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with campus partners, secondary schools, community colleges, four-year institutions, churches and community agencies related to the recruitment of qualified students. The incumbent will partner with on campus offices such as the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Project Achieve, to ensure the students are aware of on campus resources committed to student success. Serve as liaison with and advocate for the participation of alumni and other interested community members in the recruitment process.
