This position is in the Natural Resources Parks and Recreation.
Salary Grade: 26
Performs helper or apprentice levels of work maintaining and repairing facilities, grounds, equipment or their parts in direct support of a process, system, facility or grounds. The work seldom requires special training or certification (other than vehicle operator). The work requires manual labor and the use of hand and powered tools, equipment or vehicles and frequently involves repetitive individual tasks in a variety of work settings.
Selected candidate must possess and maintain an Arizona Class D driver’s license free of restrictions during employment.
Preference given to current Pima County employees.
Six months of experience performing helper-level duties in landscape/park maintenance.
(Relevant training or education may be substituted for the aforementioned experience.)

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
- A minimum of six (6) months experience maintaining and repairing irrigation systems to include drip applications and turf irrigation.
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in landscape maintenance to include use and operation of riding mowers, string trimmers, pruning saws, chain saws, loppers, hand pruners, blowers, basic hand tools and small engine equip.
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in building and structure maintenance (painting, changing lamps/light bulbs, cleaning and handyman type repairs).
