This grant-funded position is located in the Community Health Services Division; Tobacco and Chronic Disease Prevention section of the Health Department. OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Salary Grade: U3
This classification plans, organizes, manages and coordinates complex programs for a department or special program, which may include supervision of professional and support staff. It is distinguished from other administrative and managerial classes by its specialization in a specific area. This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.
Typically, this would require at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an academic major in public health, health education, nutritional sciences, business administration, healthcare administration or related field, plus significant professional experience in management in a specified specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
- A Bachelor’s Degree in public health, health education, nutritional sciences, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing public health activities, non-profit work, or health-related activities.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience managing and directing staff and coordinating work activities.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience collaborating, and/or building partnerships with community organizations or community groups.
