Research focuses on the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair in mammalian cells. DNA double-strand break repair in mammalian cells with focus on both basic mechanisms and translational research We integrate multidisciplinary approaches combining EGFP-based reporter systems and cell-based assays with state-of-the-art technology in genome-wide analysis and mouse models to study DNA DSB repair mechanisms. We also explore synthetic lethality interactions of DNA damage response (DDR) proteins and collaborate with chemistry and structure labs to identify new drug leads for targeted cancer treatment.
