ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:
Put your left and right brain to work strategically and creatively planning special events for Segerstrom Center for the Arts top-notch fundraising team, both virtually and safely, in-person. Events to include:
- Candlelight Kick-Off, launching the 47th season of Orange County’s premiere fundraising gala
- Summer at the Center’s 30th Anniversary Reception, bringing together this program’s students, teaching artists, and supporters to celebrate 3 decades of this life-changing performing arts summer camp for at-risk youth
- An Evening of Gratitude, thanking the Center’s top donors and Board of Directors for their visionary philanthropy throughout the pandemic
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties are responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Vendor research and outreach
- Invitation mailings
- Creating and maintaining event files
- Event budgets
- Event logistics
- Donor acknowledgements
- Event supply sourcing and organization
- Event coordination
QUALIFICATIONS:
Seeking an individual with the following qualities:
- A good eye for aesthetics
- Detail-oriented (copy-editing, assembly of print materials, load-out lists, timeline review)
- Outgoing
- Organized
- Polished
- Discreet
Additionally:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be enrolling in college, currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate
- Must be willing/able to work in-person
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word/Mail merges, PowerPoint) and basic graphic design skills (Canva and Adobe Pro)
SCHEDULE:
- Internship runs from June 7 – August 14
- This is a full-time internship (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
While these positions may include some remote work, all positions will require in-person work. Candidates must be comfortable working in-person and will be required to adhere to Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ health and safety policies including wearing a mask and practicing social distancing while on campus.
