Job Summary: Summer Internship or Full Time – Development Associate
We are looking for an enrolled or graduating civil engineering student to work as a Development Associate at our corporate offices at Westchester County Airport, White Plains, New York (commuter cost from Manhattan reimbursable). The Development Associate will assist in our site development processes, and will be involved in several aspects of planning, development, and construction at Sky Harbour. This role has strong advancement opportunity, and a supportive team of experienced managers who will help the individual grow to their full potential. Summer interns will have the opportunity to transition to full-time following degree completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with various teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for construction projects.
- Implement Quality Assurance processes to ensure that construction activities meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in the monthly payment review for architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy of work completed.
- Provide engineering insight into design processes and construction projects.
Education
- Undergraduate or rising graduate student in Civil Engineering.
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Broad knowledge of development/construction principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several discrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and capable of working independently of direct supervision.
