  • assist with the programming and maintenance of databases containing geologic and water quality data in the Geological Survey Program’s databases;
  • assist with developing and maintaining ArcGIS online mapping applications that provide access to geologic and water quality data in the Geological Survey Program’s databases.

Some travel will be required, including overnight stays. Fieldwork can occur in a wide range of weather conditions and occasionally require lifting up to 50 pounds. Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, fieldwork may require the flexing of the work schedule to include longer work days but not to exceed 40 hours per week.
