This position is responsible for assisting the Group Leaders and Site Coordinators with planning, execution and overall operation of a high quality Before and/or After School Program.

- This job opportunity is a part time position (29.5 hours or less) with both before school hours and/or after school hours operating Monday through Friday. Additional hours are available during school vacations at the Emilson YMCA and some (non-closure) holidays.
- Successful candidates with a desire to work with young children must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in a high school program or at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma
- Successful candidates should provide community leadership for family/child development, encourage life-long learning in students, promote the YMCA’s core values, and show commitment to the Y’s three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
All educators employed by the South Shore YMCA After School Program will be required to successfully complete the following trainings included in our onboarding process and/or within the first 30 days of employment: New Employee Orientation (includes Child Protection and Reporting, OSHA and Emergency Procedures), CPR/First Aid, South Shore YMCA After School orientation, EEC required StrongStart Essentials modules as well as ongoing professional development opportunities offered by the South Shore YMCA. All employees will be compensated for their time completing the required training.
All staff must be registered with the EEC PQ Registry upon hire.
