Asian Liver Center is currently hiring following positions for the 2021 Summer Internship Cohort!

Legislative and Community Organization

Support the development of a hepatitis B/hepatitis C screening bill in California. You’ll help navigate the legislative process and build a strong coalition of community partners in support of the bill which seeks to identify chronic carriers and get them linked to care to prevent liver cancer.

Community Health Outreach

Plan and implement virtual community outreach and advocacy activities. Coordinate educational resources for physicians, nurses and patients; community associations; and more. Conduct desk review and patient interview for community research. Implement outreach at community health fairs, festivals, and other community events shall the situation allows.

Community And Youth Outreach Internship

Plan and implement the advocacy events in local communities. You will also need to plan and implement the 2021 Youth Leadership Conference at Stanford University, which brings together 100 high school students from around the world to train them in leadership and motivate them to take action against the biggest health disparity faced by Asians and Pacific Islanders today, hepatitis B.

Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention

This internship provides excellent experience for careers in global and community health, program management/coordination/development, and advocacy. The intern will assist with our perinatal program that seeks to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B and protect infected mothers from disease complications.

Research

The research intern will be tasked with research into large data sets and from literature reviews to help document the burden of chronic viral hepatitis at the national and subnational level. The candidate must be highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, detailed orientated and willing to take on new challenges.

Graphic Design

Use Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create original designs for flyers, brochures, posters, and websites. Your work will be featured at outreach events and on the official Stanford website.

Digital Content and Social Media Strategist

We are seeking a student passionate about impacting communities through digital content. Your work will directly influence brand awareness and the growth of our digital communities to improve community health!
