Middle School Learning Hub Support Provider – Full-time

The Learning Hub Support Provider will co-supervise a Distance Learning Hub of up to 14 middle school students who need additional support to be successful in the distance learning environment. We are looking for candidates who see themselves as educators and who are committed to closing the opportunity gap, serving a diverse student population, and collaborating deeply with all members of our school community.

What You Will Do:
Creates a safe and supportive environment on campus for students to engage in distance learning
Provides group and individual guidance as needed on academic work
Supervises breaks and lunch
Implements restorative justice approach when working with students
Successfully implements all safety procedures related to COVID-19
Communicates with students, families, teachers, administrators, and other staff to ensure students can be successful
Be punctual for work and avoid making appointments during scheduled work time
Maintain professional relations and show patience with parents, teachers and other staff
Maintain confidentiality about student behavior, classroom, or family life
Follow established policies, procedures and processes as found in the Family and Employee Handbooks
Performs other related duties as assigned/required by teacher(s), supervisor, or site administrator(s)
What You Will Bring:
Skills & Requirements &Qualifications
Experience working with youth in any educational or child care setting
Classroom experience and strong classroom management preferred
Experience in working with high needs students a plus
Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
Supervisor: Dean of Students
This position is full-time and follows an 11 month work year with student-free days for professional learning and collaboration with colleagues. Most staff will report early in August (exact calendar TBD).
