The 2021 Appalachian Trail National Crew will be made up of eight high school students and two SCA Crew Leaders. This year’s crew will be located near Surplus Pond (South) near Andover, ME and will be in the field for four weeks.
This team’s projects may include constructing bog bridges, installing stone steps, and performing other trail work as needed. This team will be camping throughout the duration of their time in the field at a primitive campsite. Campsite may include potable water and pit toilets. Members should not expect reliable cell service or electricity at campsite.
SCA and site partners will provide tents, helmets, some uniform items, and PPE for team members.
