There is an immediate opening for an hourly student researcher. This position is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours of work will be 20-20 hours per week.
Nature of Work
The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine invites applications for a neuroimmunology student research assistant position to work a NIH funded project.
The successful applicant should have experience in exosome purification/characterization, phage library panning, and Western blots. The applicant will also process tissue and help manage the tissue bank if needed.
The successful candidate should be a current undergraduate majoring in biology and/or chemistry.
-Experience performing Western blots, phage titering, and preparing agar plates
-Experience in extracellular vesicle purification and characterization
-Experience in research laboratories and cell/tissue culture
– Experience and expertise in the Neurosciences
– Experience in scientific writing and presentations
– Experience in handling human biofluids
Applicants must be self-motivated, detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. The
ability to communicate and collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary group of clinicians and basic neuroscientists is necessary.
