Studio Manager
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a professional office environment. The candidate should be confident in communicating regularly with the design team, vendors or clients in order to assess needs and be able to adjust any given approach based on feedback. This candidate knows how to manage the office environment and employees, stay efficient and positive, be a good communicator, and proactive for any task that effects the office. Maintaining the highest level of professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality are required. Interest in design is encouraged but not required.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Collaborate with design team to manage execution on project deliverables.
• Managing and maintaining IT, software or computer related programs through a dedicated IT professional.
• Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address office needs.
• Maintain the office environment by ordering supplies, answering phones, running errands, updating material library and maintaining general office appearance.
• Organizing company travel or events.
• Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant in a fast paced design studio.
• Willingness to learn design billing program, Studio Designer.
• Managing the company database of suppliers with the designers.
• Supporting the team in promoting a positive and supportive work environment and company.
• Arranging gifts for staff birthday, and client holiday gifts.
• Direct a small team of designers and assist principal designer in sales and office duties.
• Travel as required to job sites and vendor locations.
• Manage the materials sample library, in-office vendor relationships, general office environment, and attend weekly studio meetings.
• Comfortable and confident in Mac OS or PC based office programs or internet based programs currently used in the studio (Google Suite).
• General HR tasks to manage- employee schedules, office hours, company handbook, recruitment, benefits, ski pass and updating policies and procedures to stay efficient.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Background in office management
• Strong user of Google Suite, understanding of Studio Designer or willingness to learn
• Strong conceptual, communication and organizational skills
• Reliable and efficient
• Amazing communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to be assertive and clear with vendors and staff.
