Essential Functions
The Centennial Fellow for Community Engagement helps support the community engagement functions of UNO. In this role, the Fellow supports the Community Engaged Scholar Transcript Designation (CESTD) and projects related to partnership data. The Fellow reports to the Special Projects Associate of the Office of Engagement, supporting the executive committee of the CESTD, documenting and organizing information that is part of overall data about community engagement. In all aspects of their role, the Fellow acts as an ambassador for the mission and engagement goals and strategies of UNO; advocates the importance and role of engagement in higher education and supports campus initiatives that combine engagement with the other core values of sustainability, inclusion, and academic excellence.
The Fellow’s primary job duties include:
· Supporting the day-to-day operations of the CESTD, which includes communicating with potential and current Engaged Scholars, managing the CESTD Canvas site, coordinating the activities of CESTD executive committee members, and troubleshooting.
· Assisting with marketing the CESTD to an array of campus and community audiences, including public presentations.
· Supporting the process of organizing and adding partnership data in UNO’s Community Engagement Partnership Initiative (CEPI).
· Supporting the ongoing campus outreach efforts about community engagement with key audiences such as students, faculty, and staff.
Work Schedule
20 hour per week

Required Qualifications
Must be admitted to a graduate program at UNO. Preference will be given to students who are new to their academic program or who have at least eighteen months remaining.
Preferred Qualifications
o Awareness of and commitment to the concept of community engagement in higher education and specifically the benefits of service learning, community based learning and/or volunteerism as a college student.
o Very strong communication (written, social media, and proofreading) skills.
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
o Exceptional presentation and customer service skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage and meet deadlines.

Salary
$1,407.10 per month plus tuition reimbursement
